Greater Than or Less Than ?

This program is designed to help kids develop and strengthen their math skills by

continuously generating random inequality expressions that require the player to

choose either a greater than, less than or equal to symbol to make the expression

correct.

Parents and teachers should encourage kids to play this game as a fun way to

get basic math practice. This application has four different variations of the game

so players can choose the type of integers they want to practice and whether to

play at their own pace or against the clock.

How to play:

Make a selection from the menu for the game that you want to play.

Inequality expressions with only positive numbers from 0 to 19. Play at your own pace.

Inequality expressions with only positive numbers from 0 to 19. Play against the clock.

Exit

Inequality expressions with positive and negative numbers from -99 to 99. Play at your own pace.

Inequality expressions with positive and negative numbers from -99 to 99. Play against the clock.

Inequality expressions will have a question mark in place of the correct inequality

symbol. Click the button that corresponds to the correct inequality symbol to make

it a true expression. Correct answers are shown in green; incorrect answers are

shown in red.

In the play against the clock mode, you have 60 seconds to solve as many

inequality expressions as possible.

After 60 seconds, your score and skill level will be displayed. The skill level rating

is calculated by subtracting the player's total number of incorrect answers from

the player's total number of correct answers.

For example, if a player had 27 correct answers and 5 incorrect answers, the

player's skill level rating would be 22.

Skill Level Ratings

***** exceptional 45 or more

**** outstanding 35-44

*** superior 30-34

** excellent 20-29

* very good 15-19

good 10-14

To exit the game, click the "MENU" button and then click "EXIT".

All calculations will either be saved in a file labeled "more&less.htm" in the "math"

folder on your external memory card or in the device's internal memory.

If you are unable to open the file "more&less.htm", you may need to download

"Open in Browser" (Denis Nelubin) and "ES File Explorer" .

With the saved calculations this is a great tool for giving homeworks.
